The share of business ladies in the Far East and the Arctic makes up now 45 percent of the entrepreneurial community, and they get instruments for starting a business and self-fulfillment through preferential treatment regime and the Hectar program, as the press service of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation reports following the briefing on the eve of the 2nd Forum of Women of the North in Moscow.According to Deputy Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic Elvira Nurgaliyeva, her ministry successfully works with women’s municipal teams, leaders in changing the urban economy: a training program for managing master plans has been launched for them.Moreover, the share of women is growing in public service as well. In macro-regions this figure reaches 83 percent – more than Russia’s average. The deputy minister also mentioned the creative sector in the Far East as predominantly female (70 percent of the employed).“Every person is important to us, but every woman matters most of all. We regard her role in all aspects: in demography – as a mother, in the economy – as an entrepreneur and a worker in key sectors, in public administration and social management – as a doctor, teacher or manager, on whom the destiny of remote settlements depends. This is why we adapt specialized programs for the Far East and the Arctic and render the necessary support where specialized solutions are needed,” noted Elvira Nurgaliyeva.The 2nd Forum of Women of the North will be held from June 30 to July 1, in the National Center RUSSIA. Its main topics are strengthening leadership qualities in women, support for business initiatives, improvement of life to boost demographics and the opportunity to fulfill one’s potential in their profession.
