The Chukotka Autonomous Area’s 100th anniversary to be celebrated on the national scale

President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed an Executive Order on celebrating the 100thanniversary of the Chukotka Autonomous Area (CAA) in 2030, CAA Government’s press service reports.
“In connection with the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Chukotka Autonomous Area, which is to arrive in 2030, I hereby decree to accept the proposal of the Government of the Russian Federation on the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Chukotka Autonomous Ares,” the Presidential Executive Order says.
According to Chukotka Governor Vladislav Kuznetsov, the national celebration will open new opportunities for improving living standards, transforming the territory, and implementing major projects.
The Chukotka Autonomous Area was established on December 10, 1930, and acquired the status of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation in its own right on June 17, 1992.
