Pogranichny, the largest facility on the border with China, will start operating already on June 29. It will handle 500 trucks daily, rather than 350, as well as 200, not 50, buses, as per the press service of the territorial government.

“The entire country and our Eastern neighbors see Primorye as a window for entering Russia. Consequently, our key objective for 2026 is to open three vehicle crossings. The works are already in their final stage,” Deputy Prime Minister of the Primorye Territory’s Government Nikolai Stetsko noted.

During the second half of the year 2026, there are plans to open the Kraskino vehicle crossing on the Russian-Chinese border; it will receive up to 650 trucks daily, or five times more than today.
Work is underway to reconstruct Markovo, the smallest vehicle crossing on the border with China; the renovated facility will handle up to 130 vehicles daily.
“It is of paramount importance for exporters from the territory’s northern areas, providing them with direct and more effective access to the Chinese market,” Nikolai Stetsko stressed.
Khasan, Russia’s only vehicle crossing on the border with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, will also be completed in 2026. The facility is to handle up to 200 trucks daily; this will create additional opportunities for expanding trade and economic ties in the region.
