This year, the region is set to overhaul a district hospital in the town of Beringovsky, to build new modular paramedic stations in the villages of Ilirnei and Krasneno and to supply three ultrasonoscopes to hospitals in Anadyr, Provideniya and Egvekinot, as per the press service of the Government of the Chukotka Autonomous Area.According to regional Governor Vladislav Kuznetsov, local authorities prioritize efforts to provide residents of remote and hard-to-reach communities with more affordable medical treatment and to improve the quality of medical services.“This year, we continue to methodically upgrade the area’s medical clinics and to purchase new equipment. Available funding will make it possible to improve the quality of medical treatment for residents of remote villages and towns. Our objective is to create a more affordable and more advanced healthcare system, so that every person, regardless of their place of residence, would obtain high-quality treatment,” he noted.Additionally, medical clinics in Pevek, Beringovsky, Khatyrka, Vayeg, Meinypilgyno, Provideniya, Egvekinot and Lavrenty will receive eight mobile digital X-ray machines. Two UAZ vehicles will be purchased for medical personnel in Anadyr; Pevek, Anadyr and Bilibino will receive three mobile systems.During the next stage of modernization, there are plans to compile forms and records for building a new outpatient clinic in Anadyr, reconstructing an outpatient clinic of the Chaunsky district hospital and building the third section of the Iultin district hospital.
