On June 6, the exhibition will open at the Borisov Museum of the Arctic’s Artistic Development in Arkhangelsk and will run until August 31. The event is dedicated to the Year of Culture of the Russian North.The project aims to showcase the aspiration of residents of northern territories to beauty in everyday life by creating masterpieces of traditional applied art in the Arkhangelsk Region.Visitors will be able to see textile items and toys from the Kargopol District, as well as pottery from Yemetsk, Mezen, Velsk and Shenkursk. The exhibition will also feature rare carved distaffs and spinning-wheels from the museum’s stocks.
