The regional project Living in the North has virtually turned into a golden standard of social architecture, Murmansk Region Governor Andrei Chibis noted at a session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. According to Chibis, Murmansk has ceased to be an outlying area and has started attracting active people.“This is a program for the people. We regularly update this project, we focus on aspects seen as correct by the people, and we prioritize important objectives in the region and in any specific community,” he stressed.According to Andrei Chibis, a changed migration trend is one of the main results. We find it important to work in such a way, so that the people would really want to live here despite all difficulties, the climate, etc. We are gradually accomplishing this objective,” he said in conclusion.
