Taimyr to get a new meat and fish processing facility

The subsidy amounts to 19.7 million rubles. “These projects produce a real economic effect in northern areas. When the processing and marketing are organized near fishing and hunting grounds, costs go down, households are more stable, and, most importantly, conditions are created for people to live and work on their land without breaking off with their traditional lifestyles,” head of the territory’s Agency for the Development of Northern Territories Anton Narchuganov said.
The selection of employees from among the indigenous small-numbered peoples will begin in summer, with the facility itself to be put into operation in September.
