A draft application for building a robot to examine ship bottom was presented at a meeting of the regional working group on Northern Sea Route development, the Arkhangelsk Region Government press service reports.The main designation of the robot will be underwater survey of the ships coming to Arkhangelsk. Currently, this work is done by divers, which takes much time. The mobile system will make it possible to fulfill these tasks remotely, using AI.Deputy Chairman of the Arkhangelsk Region Government Ivan Dementiev said the project will be implemented with the participation of Rosmorport Federal State Unitary Enterprise. Plans are to complete the project in 2026–2028.
