The Creative Industries Forum – Made in the Far East: From Content to Capital is taking place on May 21-23, and its main theme deals with audio-visual content and is capitalization.According to the press service of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, the forum unites representatives of creative businesses, government agencies, development institutions, investors, producers, stage and screen directors, designers, musicians and experts from 40 Russian regions, as well as Asia-Pacific countries.Today, creative industries in the Far East have become a full-fledged economic sector which creates jobs, develops cities and enhances the region’s export potential, Deputy Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic Elvira Nurgaliyeva noted.“This year’s forum features an international film market for the first time, as well as an expanded agenda of financial tools for creative businesses; we discuss content exports and the creation of a modern infrastructure. Our objective is to create favorable conditions for creating and expanding Far Eastern projects, so that they would enter Russian and international markets and become stable business models,” she noted.According to Head of the Republic of Buryatia Alexei Tsydenov, the forum has become a platform pooling the creative community and the regional economy.“All what creative and dedicated people are doing is about the creative industry and creative economy. The center for the development of Russian creative industries is currently located here,” the head of the region stressed.For three days, the forum’s platforms will host plenary sessions, an international film market, pitch-ins, expert discussions and meetings with representatives of federal development institutions. Over 300 speakers will take part in the forum’s business program.
