Fuel supply to the Nenets Autonomous Area continues

The Northern Supply Haul to the Nenets Autonomous Area continues; cargoes for remote settlements are delivered by river.
Head of the Zapolyarny District Nadezhda Mikhailova said at the weekly meeting on current issues held by the Nenets Autonomous Area Governor Irina Gekht that supplies to the settlements of Kharuta, Khorey-Ver, villages of Kotkino, Nes, Shchelino, Pylemets and Toshviska have been completed, as the regional government portal reports.
“Kharuta has received 208.7 tons of diesel fuel; currently, two ships carrying an additional 207 tons of diesel fuel, firewood, briquettes, and packaged goods are located 7 km from the settlement, waiting for the ice to break up. Loading of 1,238 tons of coal for Kharuta has also begun. Khorey-Ver has received 259.4 tons of diesel fuel. On May 16, a ship carrying 1,232 tons of coal arrived in Nes, and offloading has begun. To date, 675 tons have been unloaded. On May 17, a vessel departed for that port carrying 480 tons of coal, 24.5 tons of fuel briquettes, 5.2 tons of oils and lubricants, and 2 tons of AI-92 gasoline,” Nadezhda Mikhailova said.
The plans are to deliver in 2026, 19,800 tons of coal, 6,800 cu m of firewood, 838,7 tons of fuel briquettes, 10,400 tons of diesel fuel, 127 tons of gasoline and technical oils.
The Northern Supply Haul should be completed not later than September 30.
