Mobile food procurement stations to be established in the Krasnoyarsk Territory’s Arctic zone
Business managers in the Krasnoyarsk Territory are invited to take part in a competition for obtaining subsidies to establish mobile procurement and processing stations in the region’s Arctic zone. Recipients should co-finance at least 30 percent of the 18.5-million-ruble subsidies.
According to the press service of the regional Agency for the Development of Northern Territories and Support of Indigenous Peoples, these facilities make it possible to organize the collection, storage and processing of traditional northern products near reindeer herders’ nomad camps, in fishing and hunting sectors.
“Our main objective is to site the procurement and processing infrastructure near traditional hunting and fishing areas. This will allow people to deliver products in their vicinities, to reduce transportation costs and to expand marketing opportunities. Families and tribal communities engaged in reindeer breeding, fishing and hunting will be able to receive additional income,” said Anton Narchuganov, the head of the Agency for the Development of Northern Territories and Support of Indigenous Peoples.
Contestants should confirm their readiness to take part in the project, and the winners will be selected by May 28, 2026. All procurement and processing stations should open before October 1.
