The government to increase investment quotas for building fishing vessels in the Far Eastern Federal District
The government will double investment quotas for building medium-size and small fishing ships for the Fear East, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting.
The decision has been taken to raise the investors’ interest in building small fishing vessels in the region. Such vessels are used to catch cod, flounder, navaga, halibut and other types of fish.
As Mikhail Mishustin noted, the current income of small fishing companies is noticeably lower than that of the big ones.
“We expect this approach to speed up the fleet renewal, help preserve jobs and, of course, improve the supply of various fish products to our citizens,” he stressed.
