Murmansk Region Governor Andrei Chibis had a working meeting with First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus Grigory Glazko.
The regional government press service reports that the parties discussed cooperation in industry, construction, public transport upgrade as well as joint projects in logistics, infrastructure and development of the Northern Sea Route and the Transarctic Transport Corridor (ТТC).
Cooperation between the Murmansk Region and Belarus may include modernization of port facilities, construction of new logistic hubs and exchange of experience in operating transport systems.
“In Murmansk you can see the dynamics of the works in the city; major repair projects, new spaces. We visited many interesting locations. Moreover, we discussed and saw railway and port infrastructure, ports, including Lavna, a bulk terminal and convenient logistics,” noted Grigory Glazko.
Hopefully, joint projects in developing the Northern Sea Route and the ТТC will attract new investments in logistics and industry, provide for creation of new jobs, speed up goods delivery between regions and lower its cost.
