The Prommash enterprise in the Khabarovsk Territory, in collaboration with the Engineering Center at the Pacific State University, opened a unique production training facility that will graduate aerospace engineers under the Human Resources national project, as per the press service of the regional government.
Prommash is the only supplier of components for civilian and military aircraft in Russia’s Far East. Hi-tech equipment has been installed on the plant’s territory; a computer class that has also opened there will allow students to design components and to upgrade production processes.
“This format makes it possible to train engineers for accomplishing specific objectives, to bridge the gap between theory and practice and to enhance the region’s technological independence in the field of aircraft manufacture,” head of the Regional Engineering Center, Andrei Slobodenyuk, noted.
Khabarovsk Territory Governor Dmitry Demeshin visited the unique educational facility and noted favorable prospects for developing the region’s HR potential and technological entrepreneurship.
The head of the region analyzed the results of efforts to integrate a robotic element into the production system; this will eventually boost the enterprise’s productivity by 40 percent. The governor also noted the high quality of components, manufactured using Russia’s only laser spray-coating machine-tool.
