The event marking the Day of Small Indigenous Small –Numbered Peoples of Russia and the Year of Russian Peoples’ Unity will take place on May 1 in the village of Belogorye in the Amur Region.Attending the festival will be hereditary reindeer herders and breeders, traditional artisans, performers and native Evenk speakers.The festival venue will be blessed during the opening ceremony, and the Sevek Mo ceremony of feeding guardian spirits will also be held.The festival program includes a fair of ethnic goods, partaking of national dishes, as well as master classes and workshops on applied decorative art and on training reindeer herders and breeders.
