The Conference Shipbuilding in the Arctic: Fleet Construction and Repair, Innovations and Competencies is being attended by over 200 specialists from Russian regions.
Representatives of government agencies, CEOs and designers will spend the next two days discussing the main planks of the national shipbuilding strategy. There are over 40 reports on the agenda.
“Arkhangelsk is a major logistics hub. We have solid plans to build the port’s deep-water part and expand the network of transport and logistics terminals,” Minister for Science, Higher School, and Scientific and Technological Development of the Arkhangelsk Region Alexei Aksyonov said.
The first day at the conference was devoted to the state policy in the shipbuilding industry, icebreaker and cargo fleet renewal, and offshore platform designing. The Shipbuilding Cluster of the Arkhangelsk Region and the Agency for Investment and Industrial Solutions signed a cooperation agreement.
