Under the amendments approved by the government, the military personnel defending the border regions of Russia and several categories of medical workers can apply for preferential mortgage program, reads a press release of the Finance Ministry.The program will be available to those who took part in repelling armed incursions into Russia and preventing provocations on the border and in the regions of Russia adjacent to the area of the special military operation. The list includes 11 administrative-territorial entities, including the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions, Anapa, Novorossiysk and Gelendzhik, as well as the Temryuksky District of the Krasnodar Territory, and the Kantemirovsky and Rossoshansky districts of the Voronezh Region.This mortgage program will also be available for the personnel of federal and municipal medical facilities who hold medical licenses (including secondary medical activity licenses), such as the medical staff of homes for the aged and regional social security offices.“This measure will provide support to more citizens and held them improve their living conditions, as well as attract skilled professionals to the Far East and remote Arctic regions. To date, over 200,000 Russian families have taken advantage of the preferential Far Eastern and Arctic Mortgage program,” Director of the Department of Financial Policy at the Ministry of Finance Alexei Yakovlev stated.
