Regional residents can submit proposals to the Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of the Far Eastern Federal District until 2030, with a Forecast to 2036 until May 31, as per the press service of Deputy Prime Minister – Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy in the Far Eastern Federal District, Yury Trutnev.Today, experts and authorities prioritize logistics, the shipbuilding sector, the oil and gas chemistry, IT, and tourism. The strategy also stipulates solutions for the modernization of healthcare, education, developing the urban environment and the infrastructure, improving transport accessibility, supporting families, young people and senior citizens. The concerned parties are also discussing the development of major cities and the creation of the Vladivostok agglomeration as a basic regional growth point.According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the earlier strategy has already yielded positive results, with increased investment, industrial growth and regional revenues and a decrease in population outflows. However, it is necessary to make the development more efficient and tangible for people.The strategy is being developed on instructions from President Vladimir Putin following the 2025 Far Eastern Economic Forum. The Eastern State Planning Center (Vostokgosplan) is also involved in this work.
