The AI tool will be able to synthesize and identify speech patterns of indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North, Siberia and Far East, conduct automatic translations and act as a voice assistant, according to a Government-approved three-year action plan to implement the State Ethnic Policy Strategy.The document also aims to create electronic resources comprising sample texts, publish educational and methodological aids for teaching languages of Russian peoples, to monitor educational activities in line with preschool and primary-school curricula and to hold themed forums.Under the strategy, there are plans to establish ethnic-cultural and linguistic education centers, organize folklore expeditions, support the development of folk handicrafts industries, folk performers and national theaters, promote national literatures of Russian peoples and expand tourist routes for popularizing the country’s ethnic and cultural diversity.
