Yugra extends payments under Rural Doctor and Rural Paramedic programs until late 2026

Members of the autonomous area’s government passed amendments to a resolution regulating cash payments for medical and pharmaceutical specialists at their weekly meeting, as per the press service of the regional government.
The programs support specialists providing several types of medical aendance, including primary medical-sanitary care, specialized care (including hi-tech treatment) and palliative care. In all, 89 medical specialists are expected to apply for these benefits.
According to Director of the Yugra Department of Health Roman Paskov, payments range between 500,000 and two million rubles, depending on the type of communities and the recipient’s specialty. The federal budget contributes 39 percent of the program’s funding.
The implementation of the programs will make it possible to expand the HR potential of the healthcare system in the autonomous area and will create favorable conditions for attracting medical specialists who will work under five-year contracts. By attracting new specialists, it will become possible to provide local residents with quality medical care.
