According to the press service of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area government, eligibility for the payment has been extended to citizens who already own housing outside the area, as well as those who have completed real estate transactions within the past five years.
The program is open to owners of dilapidated housing and tenants under social tenancy agreements, provided that vacated housing is transferred to municipal ownership. The payment amount is calculated based on the standard housing area per family and the national cost per square meter, currently set at 116,427 rubles. For those relocating outside Yamal, the length of employment in the area is also taken into account.
“The regional program allows families to choose their destination when relocating to new housing, without having to wait for the entire building to be resettled. It also includes an increased coefficient for Yamal residents who have worked in the region for many years and wish to relocate elsewhere outside the region. These measures make support more flexible and enable families living in unsafe housing to select the most suitable relocation option,” said Ruslan Chainikov, Deputy Director of the regional Department of Construction and Housing Policy.
According to officials, since the program’s launch, more than 54,000 square meters of housing have been resettled, and 1,220 families have moved into new flats.
