Under the initiative of Khabarovsk Territory Governor Dmitry Demeshin, expectant mothers from low-income families will be able to receive monthly reimbursement of up to 3,500 rubles to purchase milk and dairy products, according to the regional government press service.To qualify for the reimbursement, a woman must apply to a social support center after registering her pregnancy in order to confirm her family’s income level.The reimbursement applies to purchases made at stores operated by local producers participating in the program. Funds are transferred to the applicant’s bank card in the month following the purchase, with expenses tracked automatically. The benefit is available throughout the pregnancy period, up until the birth of the child.A list of participating retail locations where milk and dairy products can be purchased is available via the link.
