New warehouses will be completed in Anyuisk, Bilibino and Markovo. The Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic has supported the project, according to social media posts by Chukotka Autonomous Area Governor Vladislav Kuznetsov.
The project is to be implemented in 2026-2028.
“Construction of new warehouses will make it possible to seriously improve the system of delivering foodstuffs to the region. First of all, local residents will be provided with foodstuffs, which are sold in our region at discount, subsidized prices,” the head of the region noted.
Vladislav Kuznetsov added that the new up-to-date trade and logistic centers made it possible to bring and stockpile foodstuffs in advance, and that they ensured their high-quality storage.
