Their construction is conducted under the comprehensive plan of developing the Arctic zone and the Transarctic Transport Corridor, the EMERCOM press service reports.
Earlier the EMERCOM sent its proposals on the project to the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic.
“The work on the first five facilities will be performed from 2026 to 2031. This year, we will begin construction of the airfield infrastructure in Sabetta and the Arctic integrated emergency rescue center in Tiksi,” said Deputy Minister of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief Roman Kurynin at a meeting of the working group on developing the ministry’s forces and facilities in the Arctic.
In 2028 the ministry will start building an emergency rescue center in Dikson, emergency and rescue facilities in Khatanga and airfield infrastructure for the EMERCOM Arctic air rescue flight at Ugolnye Kopi.
