Arctic Zone residents channel over 55 billion rubles into Pomorye economy

In all, 294 organizations have received the status of residents of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation. They are set to implement 348 investment projects, as per the press service of the Arkhangelsk Region Government.
The region currently leads the way among Arctic territories in terms of investment projects that have been launched to date. Most of the 125 investment projects are implemented in the Arkhangelsk Region. Residents mostly operate in the construction industry and the development sector, community services, the travel industry, the manufacturing sector, transport and logistics.
“Over 4,600 jobs have been created. All projects are to receive investment worth an estimated 272 billion rubles, and there are plans to create 11,126 jobs,” Arkhangelsk Region Governor Alexander Tsibulsky noted.
Arctic Zone residents obtain comprehensive state support, including preferential profit and property tax rates, reduced rates under a simplified taxation system and the right to acquire land plots without tenders.
