Russia’s Far East to obtain improved healthcare system, camps for children and family support measures

Members of the Government Commission on the Socio-Economic Development of Russia’s Far East, headed by Yury Trutnev, supported seven proposals for improving living standards and the infrastructure in the Kamchatka Peninsula and all other Far Eastern regions, submitted by Deputy State Duma Speaker Irina Yarovaya. It was announced by the press service of the Government of the Kamchatka Territory.
The following measures have been approved:
- —Involving federal specialists in planning regional medical screening projects.
- —Providing hospitals with MRT scanners and medical specialists.
- —Installing medical units at local schools.
- —Expanding maternity capital applications, including the rehabilitation of people with disabilities.
- —Establishing all-year-round wellness camps for children and attracting private investors.
- —Analyzing demand for IT electronics experts and training additional specialists in this sphere.
“Life, health and an opportunity to plan one’s future in the Far East are the most important things for people. My proposals deal with specific objectives. The commission’s support means that every aspect will be finalized and will yield results in favor of residents,” Irina Yarovaya commented.
According to Irina Yarovaya, it is now important to make sure that these initiatives are permanently included in the work of regional and federal agencies.
