The Nanai Literature textbooks (Years 5 to 9) and Nyaxa Donkan, a previously unpublished novel by the Nanai author Grigory Khojer were presented at the Territorial Center of Education, Press Service of the local Ministry of Science and Education reports. “Previously, a Nanai reader was the only source for teaching this discipline. Now, teachers and children have been given a systemic course staggered in years and topics. The new stuff will be handed over to all school focusing on Nanai language studies shortly,” the report says. It is noted that there are over 2,600 children in the Khabarovsk Territory, who learn the Nanai, Nivkh, Negidal, Udege, Ulch, Even, and Evenki language and literature under the guidance of 56 teachers.
