Government updates the composition of the Russian Commission on ensuring the Russian presence in Spitsbergen
Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an instruction on changing the composition of the governmental commission on ensuring the Russian presence in Spitsbergen Archipelago. The document has been posted on the official site for publishing legal acts.
The commission now includes: State Secretary – Deputy Minister for the Development of the Far East and Arctic Anton Basansky, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Grushko, Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service Vladimir Ivin, State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Energy Dmitry Islamov, Head of the Federal Agency for Mineral Resources Oleg Kazanov, Russian Ambassador to Norway Nikolai Korchunov, Deputy Head of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency Mikhail Ratmanov, First Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Konstantin Tsyganov, as well as representatives of the Foreign Intelligence Service, the Ministry for the Development of the Far East and Arctic and the Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief.
Several people have been excluded from the commission.
