Two power substations – Granite near the village of Polovina, Prionezhsky District, Republic of Karelia, and Polymetall in the village of Gorin, Khabarovsk Territory – became operational some time ago. The Central Distribution Substation was connected to the grid in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, as was the second power plant of TPP-3, the governmental press service reports.The installations are involved in addressing significant tasks of regional development, including power and heat supplies to residential houses and social facilities, development of mineral resources, attainment of industrial growth, and the tapping of tourist potential. “Technologically difficult facilities built with the use of the most advanced Russian equipment have been put into operation today. These launches confirm the fact that despite all the challenges facing our country, the power industry continues to develop and address the tasks set by the President with regard to enhancing the reliability of power supplies and connecting new consumers,” First Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said at the launching ceremony on the Power Engineer Day.
