A meeting of the presidium of the government commission on regional development has approved a treasury loan to finance housing and public utilities projects included in master-plans, the Chukotka Autonomous Area Government press service reports.“We are going to allocate 558 million rubles to build an up-to-date diesel power plant in Ryrkaypiy. The facility will not only raise the reliability of power supply to that rural locality, but will also create a reserve for Mys Shmidta urban-type settlement. The second project is for Bilibino: 457 million rubles are to be applied for replacing heating and water supply networks,” said head of the region Vladislav Kuznetsov.The total length of the networks subject to replacement is 3.99 km, of which 1.99 km of heating lines, one kilometer of cold-water supply and one kilometer of hot water supply pipes. The project will be implemented in 2027-2028.
