The new versions are aimed at protecting Russia’s national interests and will identify the main development goals for the Arctic region with account taken of changes in the geopolitical situation, Presidential Aide and Maritime Board head Nikolai Patrushev said.“The comprehensive draft project for the development of the Russian Arctic zone and the Trans-Arctic Transport Corridor will serve as a tool to be used to implement these goals,” Mr Patrushev added.The document will embrace all focal points of Russia’s state policy in the Arctic, including protection of the natural environment and ecological security.
