The Nenets Autonomous Area will introduce a 300,000-ruble payment for the birth of a first or second child starting January 1, 2027, the regional government’s press service reports.The payment will be available to families whose children were born after September 1, 2026. Eligibility will not depend on parental income or length of residence in the region. There will also be no restrictions on how the money can be spent, leavingparents free to decide how to use it.Earlier, regional Governor Irina Gekht announced that the maternity capital payment would be increased to 500,000 rubles for families in which a third or subsequent child is born after January 1, 2027.
