President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a law, which specifies the procedure confirming that certain citizens of the Russian Federation belonging to the small indigenous small -numbered peoples of the North lead a nomadic way of life.  The document is posted on the official website of legal information.

Somewhat later, the Government of Russia will approve the creation of a federal body that will devise a single standard for issuing documents that will make it mandatory for local self-governments to acknowledge that citizens lead a nomadic or semi-nomadic way of life. This is necessary for their domicile registration.     

The law will come into effect in 90 days after its official publication.
