Pomorye rescue teams receive Sever 650K amphibious hovercraft
The new amphibious hovercraft will expand search-and-rescue capabilities of the State Inspection for Small Vessels during the accumulation of ice-floes, in conditions of drifting ice and in remote areas of the Arkhangelsk Region, as per the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s Main Directorate for the Arkhangelsk Region.
The hovercraft can skim ice formations, shallow waters and marshy terrain. Its poly-ceramic-plastic pads allow the hovercraft to safely navigate rocky sections.
The boat can develop a speed of up to 100 kph on bodies of water and can carry 1.5 metric tons of freight. Its heated cabin accommodates up to eight people.
