Nenets Autonomous Area government to allocate over 3.3 billion rubles for new infrastructure and housing

The Nenets Autonomous Area will allocate a substantial part of its local budget for the construction and acquisition of housing to cover the following needs: relocation from dilapidated housing, subsidised rental housing, special-purpose residential properties, and housing for orphaned children and children deprived of parental care. Approximately 1.7 billion rubles will be spent on these purposes in 2026, according to Governor Irina Gekht.

“Infrastructure and housing construction are projects capable of directly affecting the quality of life here and now. People need new comfortable housing, modern schools and kindergartens, quality drinking water and reliable roads. We have included significant funds for these needs in the budget of the Nenets Autonomous Area,” she noted.

In a sizable investment, 865 million rubles will be supplied for the construction and renovation of social infrastructure facilities. In particular: 582 million will be spent on the construction of a school in the town of Iskatelei, and 190 million on a new kindergarten in Khorei-Ver. Another 71 million has been allocated for an ecofriendly technopark, and 22 million for the renovation of wastewater treatment facilities in Naryan-Mar.

Furthermore, 737 million rubles will be available for road infrastructure, including a highway connecting Naryan-Mar and Telvisk, as well as major renovation of the access road in the town of Krasnoye and the roads in Iskatelei.
