Over 23 million square meters of housing built in the Russian Far East in five years

According to Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, 23.4 million square meters of housing have been put into service in the Far Eastern Federal District since the launch of the Infrastructure for Life national project.

In addition, 116 land plots measuring more than 2,100 hectares and offering 11.3 million square meters of urban development potential have been allocated as part of the region’s comprehensive development program.

“In parallel, we are creating a modern urban environment, because people should live in comfortable, well-equipped cities, not just in new apartments,” he said.

He noted that nearly 5,700 territories have been landscaped, including public spaces and courtyards.

Marat Khusnullin also stated that over 18,000 mortgages had been issued in the Far Eastern Federal District under a favorable-term program since the beginning of the year. In total, nearly 150,000 families have benefited from the Far Eastern Mortgage plan.
