Fiftieth investor joins the special preferential regime on the Kuril Islands
The investment in the new project amounts to 800 million rubles and makes it possible to create 100 new jobs in the region, press service of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic reports.
The plan is to establish, between 2026 and 2036, a digital platform for an advanced biotechnology, pharmaceutics and gene engineering laboratory.
As of today, the participants in the special preferential regime on the Kuril Islands have invested an estimated 17.1 billion rubles into projects with a potential for 1,263 new jobs. Ten investment projects have taken off the ground.
