International Arctic Forum to Be Held in Murmansk on March 26–27

The sixth International Arctic Forum, The Arctic – Territory of Dialogue, is scheduled for March 26 and 27 in a new location – Murmansk. The selection of this venue is deliberate: the Murmansk Region is among the few regions in our country entirely within the Arctic Zone, representing the largest economic zone in Russia and globally, with a unified system of tax and administrative incentives.

The International Arctic Forum is a crucial platform for deliberating pressing issues concerning the socioeconomic development of Arctic territories, as well as for formulating multi-level, multilateral mechanisms to collectively unlock and efficiently utilize the immense resource potential of the Arctic region.

This marks the first iteration of the Forum following the conclusion of the Russian Federation’s chairmanship of the Arctic Council in 2021–2023.

The previous International Arctic Forum convened in 2019 in St. Petersburg, uniting over 3,600 representatives from Russian and international political, scientific, and business communities, civil society, and prominent media outlets from 52 countries. The event culminated in the signing of 45 agreements, valued at a total of 69.8 billion rubles.
