Amur region allocates 12.5 mln rubles to support indigenous small-numbered peoples
The greater portion of the funds – 9.7 mln rubles will be provided from the federal budget, as the Amur Region Government press service reports.
“It is very important to maintain the lifestyle traditional for indigenous small –numbered peoples of the North. It can be done on condition of an efficient interaction and joining the resources of the federal center and the regions,” reads the report.
About 1.335 Evenks live now in the north of the Amur region. The state support for them is focused on their key activity – Northern reindeer breeding.
