Chukotka to stipulate new benefits for families with children

From January 1, 2026, the region will pay more for first-born and second-born babies, according to the press service of the government of the Chukotka Autonomous Area.

Families with first-born babies will be eligible for 10,000 rubles monthly until the child is 18 months old. After that, they will be paid 15,000 rubles until the child reaches three years of age. Families giving birth to their second babies will be paid 15,000 rubles until their offspring are 18 months old, and this sum will then increase to 20,000 rubles until the child reaches three years of age.

Moreover, from January 1, 2026, children aged between six months and two years will be provided with extra baby food free of charge at the region’s medical clinics.

“Children in our area now receive free milk mixtures, and we have also decided to provide them with mashed fruits and vegetables,” said Chukotka Autonomous Area Governor Vladislav Kuznetsov.
