Yugra authorities approve the housing support program for small–numbered indigenous peoples

Individuals belonging to the small–numbered indigenous peoples of the North will receive social payments to improve their housing conditions starting from 2026, the press service of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area–Yugra reports.

They can use the funds to purchase both secondary and new housing, to build a house, service a mortgage loan or pay under a Participatory Share Construction Agreement.

The subsidy may be claimed by those who are referred to as members of the small–numbered indigenous peoples of the North, who have been living in the region for 10 years or more, and do not own housing or have been using premises under a social rent contract for the past five years.

To date, over 3,500 families are eligible for such support.
