The camps ran six summer sessions and one spring one for young residents of the Pomorye under the Children of the Arctic program. It enabled 1,847 children spend some time at the seaside, the Arkhangelsk Region Government reported.

According to the regional Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Development Vladimir Toropov, over 7,000 children went to the Black Sea shore during the four years of this program.

The Children of the Arctic program provides rest and recreation opportunities in southern Russia for the schoolchildren living in the Arkhangelsk Region districts and areas that are part of the Russian Arctic zone: in the cities of Arkhangelsk, Severodvinsk, Novodvinsk as well as in the Primorsky, Mezensky, Leshukonsky, Onezhsky and Pinezhsky areas and on the Novaya Zemlya archipelago.

The funding of the Children of the Arctic program amounted to 186,5 million rubles in 2025.
