Yakutia establishes headquarters for introducing AI

Head of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) Aysen Nikolayev said that the republic already has some developments minimizing efforts of the bureaucratic staff, regional and municipal authorities, lowering administrative barriers and assisting people to introduce them quicker. 

“AI is needed for transition to pilotless technologies, for robotization, for maximizing the capacities that we have and minimizing the negative factors that will intrinsically remain,” stressed Aysen Nikolayev.

According to head of the republic, at present, unmanned systems are actively used in the people’s economy, in monitoring and extinguishing forest fires, in rescuing people in emergencies, and there is some experience in utilizing them in agribusiness. Moreover, the republic now has an operating scientific and production center for testing and competencies to develop unmanned aerial systems technologies.
