Russia and the United States can work together in the Arctic if the appropriate political decisions are made, President of Russia Vladimir Putin said at the plenary session of the 10th Eastern Economic Forum.

“We have good proposals for working with US companies in Alaska: they have resources there, and we have technologies for extracting and liquefying gas that are much more effective than those that some of our American partners have,” he said.

The president also noted that there were many countries in the Asia-Pacific region interested in resuming cooperation with Russia.
