Subsidized regional flights are conducted on 37 routes, as per the press service of the Russian Ministry of Transport following a meeting between Minister of Transport Andrei Nikitin and Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area Governor Dmitry Artyukhov.

The agreement also stipulates the large-scale modernization of the air terminal and airfield infrastructure at Salekhard airport, including construction of a new terminal and the reconstruction of the existing one. The area of the facility will expand from 4,500 to13,000 square meters, and it will handle three times more passengers.

Work is underway to survey the territory of Noyabrsk airport, including geological and environmental aspects, for building a new passenger terminal.
