Yury Trutnev: 3,035 rental apartments inhabited in the Far East
The apartments are already provided in the Amur, Magadan and Sakhalin regions, the Trans-Baikal, Kamchatka, Primorye and Khabarovsk territories, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Chukotka Autonomous Area, according to Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy in the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev.
Most apartments have been allotted to employees in high demand, including young specialists under 35 years and students.
“The popular program for building affordable rental housing in the Far East and the Arctic helps employ people who come to live and work in these remote but highly important territories. In all, 3035 such rental apartments are already occupied, and construction of this housing continues at a lively pace,” Trutnev noted.
The lavishly decorated apartments have a total floorspace of 140,000 square meters and boast modern interiors, as well as new furniture and household appliances. They are located in new residential areas with seamless transport networks.
The Government allocated 87 billion rubles for this program; the construction of 11,900 rental apartments with a total floorspace of over 500,000 square meters and worth 85 billion rubles have been funded to date.
