Over 8 billion rubles to be invested in the renovation of Arctic closed administrative territorial entities

Over 8 billion rubles will be invested in the renovation of closed administrative territorial entities in the Arctic in 2026-2028, Minister for the Development of the Far East and Arctic Alexei Chekunkov stated at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes.

“The presidential subsidy is applicable throughout the Arctic. Since 2022, relevant projects have been implemented at over 100 social infrastructure facilities, with the focus on closed administrative territorial entities, mostly in the Murmansk Region. In 2026-2028, over 8 billion rubles will be allocated to the Arctic zone regions, including 6 billion rubles to the Murmansk Region,” the minister said.

The Finance Ministry has reserved an additional 20 billion rubles for allocations to these entities in 2027-2028, Chekunkov added.
