Chukotka’s educators to obtain extra support under Rural Teacher program
Each educator will be eligible for a one-million-ruble lumpsum payment from the area budget, as well as two million rubles’ worth of federal funding, according to the press service of the Chukotka Autonomous Area’s Government.
The program aims to attract educators to schools in small towns and villages with a population of up to 50,000.
“The decision to increase payments to three million rubles under the Rural Teacher program will help create comfortable working conditions, will make education more affordable and will boost its quality; education is the main factor our area’s success,” said regional Governor Vladislav Kuznetsov.
