Arctic Dictation 2026 to run for two days for the first time
In 2026, the Arctic Dictation educational campaign will be held over two days for the first time. Participants will be able to take part on February 27, International Polar Bear Day, and on February 28, Arctic Day, the press service of the Russian Arctic National Park reports.
The dictation will consist of 30 questions covering the history of Arctic exploration, as well as the region’s geography, geology, climate, flora and fauna, and specially protected natural areas.
“One of the project’s main objectives is to raise public awareness of nature conservation efforts, including in high-latitude regions. Over the past three years, almost 14,000 people have taken part in Arctic Dictation at 200 venues,” said Alexander Kirilov, director of the Russian Arctic National Park.
Further details are available on the national park’s social media page.
