New tour for Indian travelers to be launched in Arkhangelsk Region

The Arkhangelsk Region – Diamond of the Arctic tour is planned for launch by 2030. It has been developed specifically for tourists from India. The route was designed by representatives of the Arkhangelsk Region Ministry of Culture, tour operators, professional guides, and hospitality industry specialists, according to the regional government’s press service.

The new tour will offer visitors an in-depth introduction to the culture of the Russian North and the traditions of the Pomor people. The itinerary includes a visit to the Russian Arctic National Park visitor center, performances by the Northern Russian Folk Choir, and the Arkhangelsk Diamond Museum. In winter, tourists will have the opportunity to observe the northern lights, while in summer they will be able to enjoy a voyage aboard the historic paddle steamer N.V. Gogol.

“By 2030, we have set the goal of increasing the export of tourism services from the Arkhangelsk Region. This objective will be achieved by addressing key challenges aimed at increasing tourist inflow through expansion into new international markets,” Oksana Svetlova, Minister of Culture of the Arkhangelsk Region, said.
